About Me

I am a classically trained Mechanical Engineer who has specialized in designing and building both large and small scale scientific experiments in an R&D environment. I am currently working at Lawrence Berkeley National Labat theAdvanced Light Source, where I design, build and manage experimental systems dealing with X-Rays, femto-second lasers and a plethora of high-tech gizmos.

My Artistic side expresses itself in the form of abstract and kinetic art. I have displayed pieces at Burning Man as well as at several galleries in Northern California.

I am an alumnus of the CaTaCLYsMic MeGaSHEaR RanCh, and currently maintain a studio is Bayview/Hunters Point.

My artwork ties into both my training as an engineer and my background in scientific exploration.

I have always been fascinated by the geometry/patterns found in data from scientific experiments and how visualization can more readily and intuitively convey that information. I use light, color, and shadows to convey motion in geometric shapes, mobiles, stabiles, and other abstract imagery.
